I am currently providing limited in-person therapy sessions, following a COVID secure protocol. I aim to return to working this way from September 2020. I am also continuing to provide therapy sessions via an online video platform for those who feel most comfortable working this way during the pandemic.

I have been providing specialist assessment and therapy for 14 years, most recently as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in NHS adult mental health services in central London.
I currently have a private psychology practice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I am also involved in teaching trainee counsellors at the Counselling Centre, Tunbridge Wells and trainee Clinical Psychologists on the Doctoral Clinical Psychology training course at Salomons, Tunbridge Wells, part of the University of Canterbury.
During my career I have met many people looking for help with what can feel to them like insurmountable difficulties. Most often, those I have worked with have found that through the process of thinking about their difficulties honestly and committedly with me, those problems become less confusing and distressing. It then becomes possible to choose to act in a way that brings about the change they need to feel better.

I have been trained in a number of approaches to understanding our psychological difficulties, and am able to integrate my understanding of these models in order to benefit the person I am working with most effectively. I work within a psychodynamic framework, and have also received specialist training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) accredited to a Level 2 by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP).
When you first meet with me, I will try to get to know some of the reasons that have brought you to therapy, and some of the things that might be contributing to how you are feeling. I will also share my ideas with you, so that we can see if you find these ideas helpful and whether continuing to work together might begin to bring about the change you are seeking.
